Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, February 18, 2008 (NEMO) - Persons involved in dealing with individuals and families who have been traumatized, particularly, by adverse events and disasters will hone their skills during a two day workshop slated for Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th February 2008.
The Trauma and Internal Stabilization (Stress Management) Workshop is organized by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) in collaboration with Marion House.
Director of NEMO, Howie Prince says “the workshop will be extremely useful in beginning the process of establishing a special unit in the country to cater for the needs of persons who suffer trauma particularly related to adverse events and disasters.”
Psychologist, Barbara Keffer will facilitate the Trauma and Internal Stabilization (Stress Management) Workshop.
The Workshop will be held in NEMO’s conference room at its Old Montrose Headquarters, beginning at 8:30am each day.
