Earthquake hits western Caribbean
Strong earthquake, measured a 6.1 magnitude on the Richter scale, struck the eastern Caribbean on Sunday, 4 February, according to the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus.

Disaster Management Agency Formed
The Cayman Islands now has an agency responsible for educating residents on threats of disaster while preparing for, responding to, and managing these natural or man-made hazards should they occur.
