Members of the National Shelter Management Committee will review the status of the Shelter and Shelter Management Policy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in a one-day workshop slated for this Tuesday 13th December.
This training is a collaborative initiative between the National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA).
National Disaster Coordinator, Howie Prince says “the main objectives of the workshop are to review the status of Shelter and Shelter Management (SSM) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, to develop clear protocols for the various agencies using the Shelter and Shelter Management Baseline developed by OFDA, and to develop a Shelter and Shelter Management programme and implement strategies”.
The workshop commences at 9:00 in the morning at NEMO’s conference room at its Old Montrose Headquarters.
