Anguilla on Tropical Storm Watch

The Valley, Anguilla, October 14, 2008 (Department of Disaster Management) -  A tropical storm watch was issued yesterday (Monday October 13, 2008) by the Department of Disaster Management for Tropical Depression Fifteen.  According to the National Hurricane Centre in Miami Tropical Depression Fifteen is nearing tropical storm strength as it spreads heavy rains over the Netherlands Antilles.

Anguilla is well in the three-day forecast envelope for Tropical Depression Fifteen.  This means Anguilla could experience Tropical Storm or Hurricane force conditions within the next 3 days.

The Department of Disaster Management is continuing to monitor Tropical Depression 15.

Residents and visitors should continue to listen to Radio Anguilla, local Radio and Television Stations for updates.

Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect for Puerto Rico, BVI and the Dominican Republic. The next advisory will be issued by 11:30am Anguilla time.
