The ODPM to be formally launched in Trinidad and Tobago

Tacarigua, Oct 27, 2005 (ODPM) - The Ministry of National Security will formally launch the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) at a ceremony to mark the occasion on Friday 28th October 2005 at the ODPM Headquarters, 4A Orange Grove Road, Trincity, Trinidad.

The Minister of National Security, Senator the Honourable Martin R Joseph will deliver the feature address at this launch. Other speakers carded to speak at this function include the new Chief Executive Officer of the ODPM, Mr Paul H Saunders, and CDERA‘s Co-ordinator, Mr Jeremy Collymore.

Among the guests invited to attend this commemorative occasion are members of Government, members of the diplomatic corps, senior Government Officials including Heads of the Protective Services and the Defence Force, representatives from key supporting agencies in disaster management, members of the ODPM staff from both islands and members of the media.

The ODPM is a Division of the Ministry of National Security.
