Kingston, Nov 15, 2005 (ODPEM) - The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is advising the public that the Bog Walk Gorge is closed

Also, the Troja School is closed, as the roads and the fording are blocked by landslides and flooding.  Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid using this area.

The Junction is also closed, as there are several blockages along the roadway. The National Works Agency is presently on site trying to clear the roads. Those motorists who have been trapped in the area are being asked to exercise patience and not to hamper the work of the authorities.

Further updates will be provided as the situation demands.
