Earthquake felt in St. Lucia

St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago, May 11, 2006, (Seismic Research Unit, UWI) - On Wednesday evening 10th May at 10:31 p.m., an earthquake occurred about 20 km north-east of Martinique. The preliminary location for the event is 14.96°N 60.53°W.  The event was reported as felt in Saint Lucia and Martinique.

The picture to the right shows the location of the earthquake.  The focal depth was approximately 23 km.  The preliminary magnitude is 4.1.
