The National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) has been responding to several landslides and flooding in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. The island is being affected by a surface trough which has resulted in several landslides and flooding, mainly in the South and South East of the island.

Several landslides have been reported in Carapan, Fair Hall and in Glen where three houses have been washed away and 1 (one) person has been hospitalized.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution on roads that are flooded; residents living in low-lying areas and near rivers are asked to be extremely vigilant as the Met Office is forecasting more rain, especially in highland areas.

NEMO and the Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing are responding to the situation.
