Public Advisory – More rains expected in Trinidad and Tobago
According to the Meteorological Service, we can expect to get more rains during the course of today. Many parts of Trinidad have been inundated with water from the heavy showers experienced on Thursday 18, December 2008.

ODPM Situation Report No.6 - Floods
The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard has deployed a Search and Rescue (SAR) team to the Mafeking and Chrysostom Trace in Mayaro Rio Claro Corporation to relocate persons affected by floodwaters. These persons will be taken out of the impacted area and taken to the homes of relatives and friends.

As flood waters recede the Ministry of Social Development in collaboration with the Regional Corporations will attempt the damage assessment and need analysis in several areas including the Moruga, Caparo, Sangre Grande and Kelly Village.

Following the emergenceny of flooding across Trinidad over the past thirty-six (36) hours, the Ministry of National Security is pleased to report on disaster relief efforts put into place and executed by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM).
