Nevis Disaster Management Facility named after former co-ordinator
The Nevis Disaster Management Facility at Long Point has a new name. The Llewellyn Newton Disaster Management Facility was last Thursday unveiled by the Premier of Nevis Joseph Parry and Mary Ourisman, the United States ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

Heavy rains shut down schools for second day in St Kitts
Schools across St Kitts, forced to close on Thursday (October 19) after inclement weather dumped nearly seven inches of rain across the island, re-opened on Friday, but closed again by mid-morning after weather forecasters warned of continuing bad weather.
