A series of Tropical Waves are expected to progressively affect the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the next few days. Rain may be heavy and may produce localized flooding.

Emergency managers to meet with media in St Vincent
The National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) in St Vincent will on Thursday, February 23rd, 2006 meet with media managers and practitioners in an effort to enhance media capacity and ensure that disaster risk reduction and disaster management issues become part of the agenda of the local media.

Literacy crusade personnel to be trained in disaster management
More than 70 persons involved in St. Vincent and the Grenadines Adult Literacy Crusade will hone their disaster management skills in two separate workshops slated for this Wednesday and Thursday.This is a collaborative initiative between NEMO and the National Adult Literacy Crusade, to effectively deliver disaster management information to the nation’s adult population.
