Safer building course at HLSCC Marine Center (BVI)

Tortola, Jan 31, 2007 (DDM) – The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in conjunction with the Department of Disaster Management will be offering a Level I Course in Safer Building starting February 5th at the HLSCC Marine Center and will run for 6 weeks every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-8:30pm.  The course will be facilitated by Mr. Lloyd Wheatley. 

The purpose of the course is to teach safe building practices. Persons in the construction industry are encouraged to take part, as this will be a requirement for renewal and issuance of Trade Licenses commencing January 2008.  Interested persons are invited to register on Friday February 2nd at the HLSCC Marine Center at 6pm.

A level II course will also be offered in March. Persons wishing to take this level must have satisfactorily completed level I. For further information on the Safer Building Course please contact Mr. Lloyd Wheatley at HLSCC at (284) 852-7194.
