Preparedness Teaching Resources

Community Preparedness Plan 2nd English Edition  1.9MB Requires PDF Reader

Family Emergency Plan 2nd English Edition 1.6MB Requires PDF Reader

These publications, presented in cartoon format, simplify the learning experience for communities and families wanting to understand disaster preparedness but have little time for formal study. They are excellent learning tools.

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency (CDERA) wishes to thank a wide cross section of partners and stakeholders in Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago both individuals and corporate entities who assisted with the revision of these publications through national workshops.

This Revised Electronic Editions 2004 was made possible through funding from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Special thanks to the National Emergency Commission of Costa Rica for allowing CDERA to republish in English.

CDERA and UNESCO present 19 games in four formats. Learn about cyclones, earthquakes, landslides, floods, epidemics, volcanoes, and man-made hazards in a way that is both fun and enjoyable.

Test your knowledge using cross word puzzles, anagrams, hangman, and quizzes.

You'll enjoy your stay!
